I bought this microwave last August of 2011. I read the reviews and it sounded like a good microwave. Within a few months I started having problems. It would shut off when I shut the door. I would unplug it and plug it back in. After doing that a few times, I would get it to work. It did that a few more times but I would always get it to turn back on. Then, it was good for a few months. Today, while I was cooking, I smelled an electrical burning odor. It shut off and would not come back on. I knew something would eventually happen to it. Too late to return it...I won't buy an expensive appliance from Amazon again.

This item was bought as a replacement for a 28 year old Amana which never breke down We were not able to get a replacement door seal so we bought this newer one.
I would have preferred that it wa made in Amana OHIO instead of overseas. Corporate Greed has figured out that it is more profitable for the few in the upper eschelon to make millions by closing US factories. No factory, No workforce payroll, no workmens comp payments, no Health plan expenses, no retirement plans.

Then to top it all off they move their corporate offices offshore and pay no taxes! Isn't that great!!!
