Electrolux ICON Designer : E30SO75ESS 30 High-Speed Wall Oven with 1.1 cu. ft. Convection Oven

Have had oven and microwave 3 years. Microwave now broke for the second time. First time was powerunit and now this time who knows. Just went pop and stopped. Also the Electrolux oven we have broke twice. Both times when I was cleaning it. Glass shattered once and some kind of overload blew that can't be fixed unless by a service person.

We purchased this speed oven for our new kitchen. It worked 3 times and then stopped. Turns out there was a problem w/ the hinge on the door and somehow it blew the fuse. I read about this common problem after we purchased the speed oven. Now we have to buy extended warranty since I read this is a recurring problem.

Do not buy.

If I had a do-over, I would not buy this speed oven again. We remodeled our kitchen about 3 years ago, and purchased this, and had cabinets built to fit it. Since then we have had several disappointing situations to find out why it periodically breaks. Finally, in Dec 2009, a gifted technician found the cause: inside the door handle mechanism is a plastic doohickey that triggers the speed oven to stop should you open the door. Good concept. Unfortunately, the plastic just broke this morning. AGAIN. The local shop who fixes it have to send two techs (the thing is heavy, and about 50 inches off the ground),and only then will they order the part. (Even though I heard the plastic thingy fall inside the door panel.

Don't buy it.

When it works, it's wonderful. However, we microwave several times a day and this poor quality is unacceptable.
