This commercial microwave is ideal for full and quick restaurants, banquets, supermarkets and institutional applications. This microwave meets or exceeds NSF (National Sanitation Foundation) standards. The NE-1024F has a output of 1000-watt, stainless steel cabinet. The oven capacity is 0.8 cubic feet and has a Grab and Go handle which is fast, durable and removes the hassle of moving parts like those found in push button units. Flat interior makes easy for cleaning and the ability to utilize large casserole dishes. The microwave energy is bottom feed which provides less distance to reach the food for increased cooking efficiency. Other features include a 6-minute dial timer marked in 15-second increments, see-through door, interior oven lamp, door safety lock system and Chef/Test Kitchen technical support. 3-year limited warranty, 1-year parts/labor and 3-year on the magnetron. I have this situated in an employee break/lunch room. I've worked with this in the past and it operates well - Lasted me about a year under pretty heavy conditions (about 50 uses per day) they talk about "Bottom Energy Feed" which is pretty good and heats packaged sandwiches and small covered dishes well. You just have to either let it finish cooking after you set the time or re-set the dial if you pull your food early. I see Panasonic offers a NE1054 for not-too-much more $ and you get programmed pads that I'm sure are easier to use and more consistent. Because I'm in a "commercial" environment, I have to put in a MWO that is NSF and UL rated Commercial.
I think the NE1054 will be my next one for the troops.
