Panasonic NN-S963WF 2.2-Cubic-Foot, 1350-Watt Microwave, White

I had been waiting for my loud Sharp microwave to bite the dust. It started out by blowing the fuse. I replaced the fuse a couple of times until that no longer helped. Was I glad! It was the loudest microwave I've ever owned. It made a loud deafening druming noise. I had remembered my parents owning a Panasonic that is still going strong. So I went after one. This microwave is so quiet you can't hardly hear it run. It's powerful and will take a little bit of getting use to, but I wouldn't trade it for a dozen Sharps. Keep up the good work Panasonic.

My new oven failed after fewer than ninety days of use. Panasonic, though, went to some trouble to honor the warranty. I just got it back from the service center, and it works again. It is still true that "sensor reheat" overheats leftovers and the popcorn key undercooks the popcorn, but I can cope with that.

This is a very high-quality microwave oven that I have owned for close to a year, and it has never given me the slightest problem. It is incredibly easy to use, with all common control functions very clearly laid out and very intuitive in their functions and operation.
Having seen some units from other, lesser manufacturers, I had a concern that upon arrival my oven would end up being a flimsy, cheap-feeling unit butI was pleasantly surprised by the solid and substantial demeanor of the oven, with positive controls and a clear, legible display.
All functions of the oven have worked perfectly, including the Sensor Reheat and the popcorn functions as well as every other setting. Even rather complex dishes came out perfectly cooked...it seems to know exactly what to do with your meal. It was a snap to set up - just plug it in, set the clock and you're ready to cook.
