Most home chefs will find new and innovative features on this microwave that blow away the offerings on their previous models. To figure out the best way to cook a particular food, cooks can access step-by-step instructions on the Menu Action screen. The multi-lingual screen displays information in English, Spanish, or French on how to perform a function. Panasonic's One-Touch Sensor Cooking feature takes the guesswork out of microwave cooking by calculating cooking and reheating times automatically based on the amount of steam released. As part of Panasonic's Inverter Technology, the oven also incorporates a linear power control for even heat distribution so frozen macaroni and cheese doesn't get hot around the perimeter and remain cold in the center during cooking and frozen chicken breasts don't cook around the edges during defrosting. Another major innovation in microwave technology is a warming and simmering feature that delivers low-temperature heat to keep food such as pies, casseroles, or gravy warm without overcooking them. For cooks who are looking for a shortcut but don't want to sacrifice gourmet cooking, this microwave is an excellent option. This luxury microwave oven is covered by Panasonic under a one-year limited warranty while the Magnetron tube has an extended warranty of up to five years. --Cristina Vaamonde

This is a large microwave with plenty of power. The turntable can handle a large platter or casserole. I particularly like its inverter function which actually reduces power when you defrost food or choose a lower power setting rather than cycling the power on and off like many other microwave ovens operate. The programmed buttons are handy, although except for the "Defrost", "Re-heat" and "beverage" buttons, we tend set most of the cooking times ourselves. The stainless steel case is attractive and easy to clean. My only negative is that the "Start" and "Cancel" buttons are a little close together and the same size. In my first few days of operating the unit, I managed to cancel things by mistake a few times. By Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Panasonic NN-T765SF Full-Size 1.6-Cubic-Foot 1,250-Watt Microwave Oven, Stainless (Kitchen) Nice features, lightweight, and easy to use. Unfortunately, it lasted just beyond the warranty period before failing. Cost to repair was about the same as a new microwave. It rated five stars while it worked, but only 1 star after it failed, averaging out to 3 stars. I'm afraid after this happened to two Panasonic models within 4 years, I just can't justify buying this brand again. And I really like Panasonic for other products. Sigh. By This review is from: Panasonic NN-T765SF Full-Size 1.6-Cubic-Foot 1,250-Watt Microwave Oven, Stainless (Kitchen) We had a Sharp microwave oven that lasted over 23 years. When it finally stop working, we went shopping for a replacement. The Panasonic seem to have all the features that were not available back then. The microwave work find for over a year. Then it would only power up for about 5 seconds and then stop. This kept happening. I unplug the oven hoping this might reset the computer chip. Same results. We went out and bought a Sharp microwave oven again. Hope this Sharp microwave last as long as my last one. First and last Panasonic product of any kind for me from now on. |
