the repair was going to cost 150 plus I will just buy another one instead... By This review is from: Panasonic NN-T964SF 2-1/5-Cubic-Foot 1250-Watt Microwave (Kitchen) Edited June 2007: Ours failed as well! Same problem, where it stops after
three seconds and makes a burning/ozone smell. We called Panasonic and they were less than helpful. I would no longer recommend this oven. Old review follows: We purchased this microwave to replace a 12-year-old GE microwave. We wanted a microwave oven with a large capacity and relatively simple controls. This oven is quite large. It has a turntable big enough for a 9x13 baking dish. (I prefer to have no turntable, but they don't seem to make those anymore, so it is necessary to get one of these huge microwaves in order to fit a long dish.) The oven is very powerful compared to others I have used. Be careful, for instance, with microwave popcorn - it is done surprisingly quickly. The authorized service dealer which I finally found in my yellow pages (not able to find this dealer from Panasonic) finally fixed it after about two months. I've now operated it for five months and it's died again. Still under warranty, I plan to take it back for further servicing. It'll probably go out again based on it's track record but with my luck this will be when it's out of warranty. Beware of this micro. |
