I have owned this microwave since 2007 and use it multiple times a day. It has never given me any problems and continues to work beautifully. As others have noted about the Panasonic microwaves, the light comes on not when you open the door, but when it's cooking. I thought that was odd at first but have gotten used to it because this is a very very good microwave.
