Heats very well and relatively evenly.
My major complaint is the amount of force needed to activate the keys, and the size of the area to press. Most key strokes require enough force to move the unit backward and the size of the "hot zone" for each key is way too small. The Panasonic with the rotary control is a far far easier interface
