Product Review

Another solid performer in the Sanyo microwave family is this stylish mid-size unit. 1.1 cu.ft. of interior size couple with a large 12 3/8' glass turntable provide ample space and handle full size dinner plates. 1000 Watts of power is plenty to take care of the heartiest meals. 6 direct access keys for quick programming of your most popular foods are easily identified on the simple yet elegant keypad design. The contemporary oval door design and pull handle will distinguish this unit in any room. Easily defrost foods by either time or weight keys. Need to time another dish while something is cooking in the microwave? Utilize the kitchen timer key to time another dish. Two distinct beep tones will let you know when the microwave food is completed as well as your separate dish. Multi-stage cooking can be programmed enabling one touch starting of your favorite meals. A child will not be able to start the microwave when the child lockout feature is activated. A two color digital display on the keypad and an attractive white finish complete the strong package of this Sanyo unit.

3.0 out of 5 stars Start button is too sensitive, October 23, 2010

This microwave has a "add minute" feature--pressing the Start button while cooking adds a minute to cooking time. Convenient, yes, but the Start button is so sensitive that if I press it just a teensy bit too long, it turns my :30 beverage warm-up into a messy boilover 1:30 later. Don't take your eyes off the display (when you start) to be sure you don't inadvertently add another minute of cooking time.

I HAD A 1,000 WATT MICROWAVE FOR OVER 10 YEARS AND WHEN IT STOPPED, I PURCHASED THIS SANYO, IT SAYS ON THE MICROWAVE 1,000 WATT, THE ONE I HAD BEFORE HAD 1,000 WATTS, ON THIS SANYO THINGS THAT TOOK 4 MINUTES BEFORE NOW TAKE 5 MINUTES AND WHAT TOOK 9 MINUTES BEFORE TAKE 12, IT MAY SAY 1,000 WATTS BUT IT DOES NOT WORK LIKE A 1,000 WATT MICROWAVE OVEN MORE LIKE A 800 WATT OVEN. I WILL NOT LOOK TO REPLACE MY SANYO WITH EITHER A PANASONIC OR SHARP. I AM VERY UNHAPPY WITH THIS ITEM.

This is a very cute microwave and fits perfectly on my shelf. The price was great and cooks well.

Can't get a better price for an oven that has a handle attached.
