We've had this microwave for a little over 2 weeks. We were looking for a 1000w microwave. We've had and used more powerful ones and I don't want to have to adjust the power level every time I cook something. I liked the look of this one and the Sanyo name and even though no one had reviewed it I decided to try it. Consumer Reports gave this microwave a very good rating for heating evenness and noise (which is important to me). They scored it lower on defrosting (which I rarely ever use) and ease of use for the lack of a one touch sensor feature.
I think it works just great. It is exactly what I was looking for, a medium size countertop microwave that cooks evenly at a very good price. My husband and I eat lunch at home and I keep a lot of frozen and shelf stable meals on hand. This microwave hasn't fried or dried out anything I've thrown at it. I don't care about a sensor reheat. I received a Sanyo Microwave as a gift over 30 years ago. When it was finally fininshed after 20 years, I purchased another one for myself. Now, my son needed a microwave, so I sent him the best!

My daughter bought this microwave for me on amazon I have had it for 7 months tonight I was heating up some carrots it over heated and died it's not the plug it is the product. If you have it unplug it and send it back
