Sharp quality not what it used to be,
May 28, 2005 consumer (sf bay area) - See all my reviews
We had a Sharp microwave/convection oven that stopped working after ten years. It was built into a cabinet so we were happy to find this model which had the same dimensions and features. The first one we received had a dent in the side panel and the feet were not level. We sent that one back and asked for a replacement(very good service from Amazon). The second one again was not quite "square" and the door was slightly crooked. We decided not to send this one back and attributed the defects to poor workmanship. The door does not feel as solid as the old one and this new one in general seems to be poorly made. Let's see if this will last for ten years.

This is the second micro-convection oven purchased. The original was such a great appliance that it had to be replaced with a newer model.
The original was still working. However, did not want to be without one so replaced it. Such a breeze to operate. The preheat and convection programing all in initial set up is a great feature. Without a doubt this is one of the greatest oven available.

We bought this unit to replace one just like it after 11 years. The new unit does not seem as powerful on the microwave side as the old unit. The convection side is as good as the old unit. The fit and finish on the unit is good. Overall, the unit is quite satisfactory.
