Nice product with plenty of bells and whistles but after less than 2 years, oven makes noise and fails to heat food. Spoke to Whirlpool today and the representative agreed that it's probably the magnetron. One year warranty so there's nothing they can do for me. Rep admitted that 2 years is premature -- but it happens.

This microwave performed well for the first two years, then stopped heating food even though the light came on and it sounded like it was working okay. A serviceman came out and said it was the magnetron and the repair would cost $300. Ouch! I will never buy another Whirlpool microwave.

Worked fine since May 31, 2010. All of a sudden, it stopped heating. I had just heated something then 2 seconds later it didn't heat. Less than 2 years? Unacceptable. Model WMH 1163XVB-1.
